Battle of the Bratschen!

The BATTLE IS ON! What a Battle it was! Thank you to everyone who participated in the Battle of the Bratschen at ViolaMANIA 2.0! It was a blast to welcome all the kids to the stage and everyone appreciated the players' bravery and good sportsmanship during the segment late in the VM2 program. Round 2/Semi-Finalists will be coached separately by SF Symphony Principal Violist, Jonathan Vinocour, during of the pre-concert Viola Fair at ViolaMANIA 2.0! Doors open at 5:30; please arrive by 6 to get warmed up. Coachings will happen approximately 6:30-7pm. When you show up, take a look at the sign-up list in the lobby to participate in the viola chamber music reading that you can join when you're done with the coaching.

Round 3/Grand Finale will be judged by a celebrity panel of violist-luminaries - and Audience Applause-O-Meter - during the ViolaMANIA 2.0! main event. The concert begins at 8pm.

Don't forget your Telemann G Major Viola Concert solo parts - we'll all be joining together for an en masse reading of the entire work at the conclusion of the program. Cadenzas in the first and third movements will be raffled off just prior to the beginning of the reading, so come prepared to buy some raffle tickets to drop into the Cadenza bucket, and cross your fingers it'll be YOU that gets to show off when the time is right!
