Join us October 29th in Berkeley as more than two dozen local professionals, amateurs, students, teachers and superstars come together to perform in ViolaMANIA 2.0!, a fun & vibrant, unforgettable, wide-ranging viola extravaganza.

A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the non-profit NCVS, in support of the variety of exciting, educational & community-building events & activities we are planning for the coming season, and beyond.

The sequel to 2010's blowout original, ViolaMANIA 2.0! is going to be bigger, better and perhaps scarier, given its proximity to Halloween (and the November election, for that matter), including:

Expanded pre-concert Viola Fair in the lobby
 * A silent auction and raffle (come early to peruse the fab offerings and place your bids)
 * Viola ensemble chamber music reading in the lobby organized by AVS Past-president Dr. Thomas Tatton - come early to sign up & play
 * Local vendor tables, sharing their wares and services
 * Special NCVS and ViolaMANIA apparel & accessories available for purchase, some of which features new, special-to-the-NCVS artwork created by the SF-based, '70s underground comics maestro Michael McMillan
 * The famous Viola Joke Box
 * Food and drink provided (for purchase) by the good folks hosting us at the Freight...

Increased program variety on stage:
 * Including music by (so far...) J.S. Bach, Wagner, Gordon Jacob, Nils Bultmann, Jeremy Cohen, Katrina Wreede, Cookie Segelstein & G.P. Telemann.
 * The inaugural Battle of the Bratschen will feature a pair of brave school orchestra viola sections playing classic symphonic excerpts in competition for your love & affection
 * The en masse reading of the Telemann G Major Viola Concerto concludes the evening, complete with raffled-off cadenzas and the orchestral part performed by a small contingent of our "Violarchestra" core while everybody else in the room who brought their viola joins in together for the potentially world record-breaking group "solo."

More fantastic performers
 * Jonathan Vinocour, Jodi Levitz, Paul Yarbrough, Charlton Lee, Ethan Filner, Ben Simon, Katie Wreede,  Nils Bultmann, Jeremy Cohen, Mads Tolling, Cookie Segelstein, Darcy Rindt, Ellen Rose, Daria D'Andrea, Patty Heller, Wendy Clymer, Emily Onderdonk, Jason Pyszkowski, Kevin Jim, Sue Nelson, Sandy Leem, Stephen Moore, David Cann, & Tom Tatton. To name a few.
